Starting Off: The Sieve System
First craft a Wooden Sieve. This will be your first tool for sifting through materials. Initially, the sieve won’t have a mesh, so you’ll need to craft one and place it in the sieve frame.
Use the sieve with different meshes (wooden, crimson for Nether-specific sifting) to sift Sand, Gravel, Dirt, Crushed Deepslate for various loot, including ores, materials, and plants.
Crimson Sieve lets you sift Crushed Netherrack and Crushed Nylium to get Nether-specific items such as quartz, gold, and foliage from nether biomes.
Use barrels for resource generation and expand into using Drying Racks for more advanced materials.

Crushers and other tools
Manual Crusher breaks blocks at the cost of hunger, converting materials like cobblestone to gravel, gravel to sand, netherrack to crushed netherrack, and so on. This is your key tool for breaking down blocks without needing a pickaxe, ideal for converting materials quickly.

Drying Rack is used to dry items such as kelp or rotten flesh to turn them into more useful materials.

Mortar and Pestle is a tool that crushes petals from flowers into dyes and cocoa into cocoa powder.
Other tools and mechanics
Use Wooden Barrels to turn saplings into dirt and leaves into water. Stone Barrel produces lava by using cobblestone or related materials, perfect for early-game lava farming or cobblestone generation.
